The Madav Narayan Mela is celebrating at sankhu salinadi. this is also known as Swosthani Mela all over the Nepal. The total Number of Bratalu are 263, among them girls are 239 and boys are 24.
During One month fest. all the devotes need to go various historical and other important shrine in Various part of Kathmandu valley; such as Pashupati Nath, Pharping, Panauti and Changu Narayan. the Interesting thing is that to go to thease places they have to go by foot it is and allow to use bus and any other vechicals. this is for 5 days tour from sankhu. they have to travell for 5 days without any buses and shoes as well. The schedule for travelling for this year as follows:
2066-09-30 To Pashupati Nath
2066-10-01 To Pharping
2066-10-02 Back to Sankhu
2066-10-04 To Panauti
2066-10-13 To Changu
2066-10-08 Saptami (Great festival at Sankhu)
