Millennium Challenge Compact (MCC) Protest at Sankhu

There have been protests in Sankhu Bazaar against the MCC project Millennium Challenge Compact.The protest procession started from Shankharapur-3, Jaharshipaouwa. After reaching Sankhu's Salkha Mahadevasthan, had mixed . From there with those who were gathering in Sankhu, the procession went around Sankhu Bazaar and later reached the Premises 

of Shankharapur Municipality and turned into a corner rally.  Participants in the rally chanted slogans such as"Dismiss MCC, back of MCC" and carried anti-MCC placards, black flagsand national flags. In the corner assembly, RPP Mayor candidate Mijendra Kaji Shrestha, Nepali Congress Mayor candidate Shankar Tiwari, National Campaign Against Corruption Ratna Prasad Shrestha of Shankharapur, Surya Tamang and Shambhu Prasad Chaulagain of Tamakoshi Hydropower Victims Struggle Committee and Buddha Chhiring Moktan of National Campaign against National Marginalization gave voice notes against MCC
