As we all know that newari culture is very rich in culture and traditional.In newari culture at least one festival falls in Every month. the series of festival is started from today (Gathe mangal). this festival is about the evil thrown from all the homes of newari custom. In Every toles(the Geographical area which is divided by local government). In this day, the people make one statue of The evil say (Bhudhya: newari word) means (The god of of Evil) all the people of the all the home bring all the bad things bring and they burn it in front on the statue. that beleive that all the bad things are thrown from the home. The thrown the statue outside the valley to keep for all the prosperous and keep away from all the evil things in whole year.
Gatha-muga (known variously as Gathemangal and Gantakarna) is when evil spirits are banished outside the city limits.
In the Kathmandu Valley, effigies of the Gathan-muga demon are erected at street intersections. A man wearing war-paint goes about begging for money. At the end of the day, the effigy is taken down.
